curiously why sweden has such a high percentage of non secular people? and for some reason i have allowed myself to believe that atheists and agnostics grew out of christianity. are buddhism, hindu, any non western secular thinking considered religious? i thought they were more like belief systems that weren't necessarily religious.
just rambling thoughts that passed thru while reading the article. thx chopper

" * NOTE: The estimates of the number of atheists in North Korea, China and Cuba may be unreliable. The best data available have been used in making these estimates, but the people in these three nations live under Communist governments which have traditionally suppressed religious freedom and officially (often forcibly) endorsed atheism. "
so how were they able to survey people in those countries at all? And 15% of a small group doesn't represent the whole country.
Interesting stats though. Far more atherists in the world than I had realized, especially in Isreal. -

Sun, April 30, 2006 - 1:54 PMthat entire chart is pretty absurd. i wont start on how even claiming to be able to collect such data is ignorant, but anyone with even the slightest knowledge of regions and geographical pockets of belief systems can see how utterly foolish those numbers are.
