Is it really so hard to figure out that when you put hatred out into the world, people give you hatred back? Islam needs to be criticized for its fanatical excesses, but when the rhetoric of the critique is just as fanatical as that of the belief system in question, it borders on unwitting self-parody and becomes difficult to take seriously. If one seeks to promote "rationality," one should make a point to sound rational doing it.
